Planning Your Event
CAPP Records, along with our partner label Mental Madness Records, can provide a
variety of talent for a variety of event types. Before considering the booking of
our talent, however, you should consider the following important planning points:
- Budget
Budget is perhaps one of the most important elements of planning your event.
Many of the artists, producers and DJs in our talent pool are in high-demand, and
your event may be competing with others. Know what you're willing to pay and what
your revenue model will support. If your budget is not limitless, talk to us. We can help choose the right talent to fit the budget
you have available. Don't forget: Our artists and producers are
dispersed throughout the United States and Europe, so air travel, transportation,
and accommodations must all be factored into the cost (and your budget).
- Know Your Objectives
Your event type and your business objectives will help us help you to select the
right talent. Do you need to keep a dance floor filled all night long, or do you
want a live performance artist to be the highlight of your event? We can help achieve
either one by helping you choose between our experienced, world-class DJs, or one
of our recording artists. Maybe you need both? If you want a night
your audience won't soon forget, consider booking more than one person or group
from our pool of talent... A DJ that can keep the dance floor moving, and cap-off
your event with a live performance from one of our vocal performers. We can help
you decide what suits your needs best; just contact us.
- Plan Ahead
While we can often assist you with last-minute requirements, understand that
many members of our talent pool are in very high global demand. This makes planning
ahead imperative if you want to ensure you get the talent you want.
- Know What Else You Need
Choosing and booking talent is just one element of a successful event. If you're
booking an event in a club venue, chances are you have everything else you need
already in-place. But for outdoor events and other non-traditional settings, make
sure you have (or can get) the expert help you need with sound support, lighting,
pyrotechnics, and everything else needed to connect your talent with the audience,
and to ensure a positive audience experience.
- Getting the Word Out
Marketing your event is paramount to its success. Our talent can't help you
make a successful event if nobody knows they're performing. In some cases, we can
leverage the relationships we have—and the following our talent has—to support your
event promotion. Ask us how. For example, DJ Brian Howe can record the event for
later rebroadcast during his XM Satellite Radio show, aired every weekend to an
audience of millions across North America. This is just one example of how we can help.
